Secretary for the Department of National Planning and
Monitoring, Koney Samuel, visited the School of Business and Public Policy
(SBPP) at the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) on Thursday 1st October to
discuss issues affecting the national institution.
Robust discussions with UPNG Vice Chancellor, Professor Frank
Griffin, Executive Dean of SBPP, Professor Lekshmi Pillai, Dr Lawrence Sausse,
and others centered around the Australia National University (ANU) - UPNG
Partnership, for the benefit of the nation.
The school is a strategic partner in policy and planning; hence
Secretary Samuel reaffirmed the support to this premier arrangement to ensure
the programme continues to supply high caliber graduates to the public service
and industries and chart pathways for Papua New Guineans pursuing graduate
studies in management.
