Vision:
A well – functioning Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), including Papua New Guinea's diplomatic and consular representatives, working efficiently and effectively on behalf of the Government and the nation as a whole and in close cooperation with other governments and international organizations for:
- peace and mutual security, together with;
- human rights and democratic good governance; and
- human development through diplomacy which meets challenges and secure opportunities by creating a positive image of Papua New Guinea's rich natural culture diversity, our people's talents and our country's natural resources and potential – nationally, in the immediate neighbors, across the Asia – Pacific, and globally.
